I'm so glad I hung on to some of this gorgeous Petting Zoo fabric by Alexander Henry. Lately I've had a very busy run on custom orders and this print remains as popular as ever.
This particular set was another order for Universal Music and comprises items from my Limited Edition Handmade Range, a bib and burp set, a fully lined cushion, a lined storage bag, applique onesie and a sweet little organic cotton crochet rabbit by Anne Claire Petit.
All put together in one of my handmade gift boxes:
I'm always a little nervous when I do custom orders, my handmade items are so personal to me and I want them to be loved, I guess it's the same for anyone who produces handmade goods. Anyway, I need not have worried, they absolutely loved it - phew!
So much has happened since my last post, not surprising really as it was back in August - really!
I'll be sharing my experience in the Pop Up Shop in Richmond and everything that's happened since very soon but in the meantime, come along to the Chiswick Mums Coffee Morning on 6th December, have a great time and help us raise some money for Save the Children.
We were extremely proud and very lucky to be selected from a huge number of applicants to take part in Pop Up Britain, an new initiative by www.startupbritain.org which provides a tremendous amount of support to small independent online businesses who would love to have a High Street presence and helps facilitate this for them.
On Monday, after a hectic week of preparations and taking part in an NCT Cheeky Monkey fundraiser at The Park Club, Livvy and I arrived at the PopUp Britain shop in Richmond, where we met five other small businesses all looking as excited (and tired) as we were. Collectively we set about making the shop our own and given that it is a pop up shop, here's a peek at our ever changing window display.
The response so far has been brilliant and we have received some exciting press coverage already - more on that later.
I am absolutely delighted to have an opportunity to showcase London Mummy in a real life shop with shelves!! We have received such a fantastic welcome from not only the mums in Richmond, but also Kew, Twickenham, St Margarets, Barnes and of course my beloved Chiswick.
As always, Olivia has been wonderful, very much a big part of the team.
